Honey Toast Box
Ingredients
1 small Bakers Delight White Loaf
3 tbsp Unsalted Butter
2 tbsp of honey
Ice cream of your choice
2 tbsp toasted almonds
Chocolate topping sauce to serve
Method
Pre-heat you oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Using a bread knife (serrated) Slice 1/4 of the white loaf off. Leaving a 1cm border, use your knife to cut the inside of the loaf out, ensuring to pull the inside out in one piece. Once out, slice the inside into 5cmx5cmx15cm batons or 'sticks'
In a small saucepan coming butter and honey and melt over medium heat. Brush mixture all over bread box and sticks, re-applying as many times as it takes until all the mixture is used
On a lined baking tray, bake the bread sticks and box in pre-heated oven for 10-13mins until golden and toasted, ensuring to turn once every 3-5 mins to ensure you do not burn them
Once cool enough to handle, replace bread sticks inside toast box, top with ice cream, toasted almonds and sauce and serve
