Creamy Lamb Biryani With Cardamom Spiced Rice
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 cup mild curry paste
- 1 kg diced lamb
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 whole red chilli, optional
- 400g can diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon oil, extra
- 1/3 cup blanched almonds
- 2 cups basmati rice, rinsed well and drained
- 6 cardamom pods
- 4 cups boiling chicken stock
- 1/4 cup sultanas
- 250ml PHILADEPHIA Light Cream for Cooking
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- Pappadums, for serving
