Ingredients
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 1/2 cup whole milk cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated parmesan
- 6 strips prosciutto, diced
Method
- Put oven rack in middle position and preheat to 200C.
- Thaw patty on bench. Place baking paper on baking tray and transfer pastry to paper.
- Blend cottage cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper in a blender until smooth.
- Cook prosciutto in fry own over moderate heat until just begins to brown. Remove from heat.
- Spread cheese mixture evenly over pastry leaving a 1 inch border all around. Scatter bacon and onion on top then sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Bake until pastry is golden brown. Cut into small pieces and serve.
Tips & Hints
- This appetizer can be cut into small pieces for a cocktail snack or larger ones for an appetizer for a dinner party.
