Ingredients
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 small onion, finely diced
2 tablespoons plain flour
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheese
100g Primo Premium English Leg Ham, chopped
200g cooked macaroni, al dente
1 cup fresh sourdough bread crumbs
Chives to garnish
Method
Pre-heat oven 180°C. Grease 4 individual 1.5 cup capacity ramekins
Heat butter in a large heavy based saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring, 1 minute or until soft
Stir in the flour and cook for another minute. Slowly stir in the milk and continue to stir until the mixture thickens, about 4 minutes
Reduce heat to low and add the cheese. Stir to combine. Season
Gently stir in the ham and pre-cooked pasta. Transfer to prepared ramekins and sprinkle over the bread crumbs (and chives, to garnish)
