These Chocolate Walnut Brownies are bound to knock your socks off! Being 99% sugar free with good sources of protein and fibre, this deliciously sweet treat has been made healthy.

Ingredients

  • 110g unsalted butter, melted and cooled, plus extra for greasing
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup full cream milk
  • 1 x 300g Lakanto Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1/3 cup Lakanto Classic Bakers Syrup
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • 80g Sugar-free dark chocolate
  • Cocoa Powder for dusting


Method

  1. Preheat the oven 150ºC fan-forced. Grease and line the base and sides of a 20cm square cake pan.
  2. Whisk the eggs and milk together in a large mixing bowl. Add cooled melted butter and whisk until well combined .
  3. Add Chocolate Cake Mix and whisk until it forms a smooth batter. Pour in syrup and continue whisking until batter is smooth and slightly loose.
  4. Follow packet instructions to melt chocolate. Add to cake batter along with chopped walnuts. Mix well and spoon into prepared pan. Bake 20-25 minutes or until a crust forms on top.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours
  6. Remove brownie from pan and cut into 12 squares. Dust with cocoa powder just before serving.


Tips & Hints

  1. The cooked brownie will look a little soft, but will firm on cooling
