Chocolate Marscapone Tart

Ingredients

  • 100g plain chocolate biscuits, finely crushed
  • 50g dark chocolate, grated
  • 50g butter, melted


Method

  1. Lightly grease 2 x 100cm diameter loose bottom mini tart tins
  2. In a food processor combine biscuits, chocolate and butter
  3. Combine well and divide between tins
  4. Press evenly into the base and sides of tins
  5. Refrigerate 15 to 20 minutes, until firm
  6. Remove base from tins and release the tart case from the tin


Filling

Ingredients

  • 100g dark chocolate, melted
  • 2 tablespoons thickened cream
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cream
  • 50g white chocolate melts


Method

  1. Combine chocolate and cream until smooth
  2. Allow to cool until it starts to thicken
  3. Fold in mascarpone cream until well combined
  4. Spoon chocolate filling into each tart case
  5. Return to refrigerator to set (approximately 15 to 20 minutes)
  6. Gently melt white chocolate
  7. Spread chocolate onto a piece of baking paper. When almost set, cut out heart shapes with a cutter
  8. When ready to serve, top each dessert tart with the heart shaped white chocolate


Tips & Hints

  1. Serve with whipped cream or ice-cream and strawberries.
