Prawn Spaghettini with Garlic, Chilli & Basil

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghettini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 50g butter
  • 12 large prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 2 large cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 2 tablespoons white wine
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves


Method

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling water, stirring occasionally for 8 minutes or until al dente
  2. Whilst the pasta is cooking, heat butter and oil in a large frying pan on high heat and sear the prawns on each side for 1 minute
  3. Add the garlic and chilli to the prawns
  4. Deglaze with wine for a minute before adding the drained pasta to the pan
  5. Mix in the basil leaves then season with salt and pepper
  6. Serve with salad
