A terrific cake with the perfect combo of chocolate and banana and a killer topping.
Chocolate Banana Loaf
Ingredients
50g butter, softened
1 cup caster sugar
1 egg
2 large bananas, mashed (1 cup)
1 1/2 cups self raising flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon milk
100g CADBURY Dark Baking Chocolate, chopped
1/3 cup pecan nut halves, chopped
1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar
Method
Beat together the butter, sugar and egg. Stir in the banana. Add the sifted flour and cinnamon with the milk and stir to combine. Stir through the chocolate
Pour the mixture into a greased and lined 22cm x 12cm loaf pan then sprinkle with the nuts
Bake in a moderate oven 180 C for 50 minutes or until cooked. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and then cool for 10 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely
