Our delicious French Toast makes a great weekday breakfast or an easy dish to prepare for a weekend brunch. You can serve with fresh fruit and berries.

French Toast with Jam and Maple Syrup

Ingredients

  • Bakers Delight Chia & Fruit Loaf
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 4 slices Chia & Fruit Bread
  • Butter or oil for cooking
  • Maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup berry jam


Method

  1. Mix eggs, milk, cinnamon and salt together in a bowl
  2. Heat butter or oil in a large frying pan on med heat
  3. Dip each piece of bread in egg mixture and gently place in heated pan
  4. Cook for about 2 - 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown
  5. Serve immediately with jam and maple syrup


Tips & Hints

  1. You can also keep in a warm oven until ready to serve.
