These Air Fryer Parmesan Chicken Strips are a delicious, crispy, and healthy option for quick meals. These chicken strips are coated with Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and flavorful seasonings, and are sure to be a hit with the whole family.
Ingredients
40g butter, melted
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
Pinch of salt
600g chicken tenderloins
1¼ cups Panko crumbs
⅓ cup Perfect Italiano Traditional Parmesan, extra for serving
Cooking spray
Mayonnaise, lemon wedges to serve
Method
Combine melted butter, Dijon, and salt together in a large bowl. Add chicken and toss to coat evenly.
Mix together Panko crumbs and Parmesan and place onto a shallow plate.
Working in batches, dip chicken into panko Parmesan mixture, pressing crumb onto chicken. Place onto a clean dry plate or tray. Repeat with remaining chicken and crumb.
Spray air fryer basket and chicken lightly with cooking spray. Place chicken in a single layer and cook for 8 minutes at 200֯ C. Turnover and cook a further 5-6 minutes. Cook in batches as necessary.
Sprinkle with extra Parmesan and serve with lemon wedges and mayonnaise.
Tips & Hints
Substitute chicken with fish. Buy firm white fish fillets such as ling and cut into 4cm thick strips. Reduce cooking time 5-6 minutes, turning over halfway.
Adjust cook times to suit your air fryer. Always follow manufacturer’s instruction.
Depending on the size of your air fryer basket. Cook in batches of 4 or 5 chicken strips. Keep warm in a low 150°C oven while cooking the remaining chicken.
