Thin crust prawn pizza recipe made at home using the Breville Smart Oven™ Air Fryer. Create the crispiness of a brick oven pizza without the bricks.

Basic Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons dry yeast
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 500g 00 (strong bakers) flour


Method

  1. Combine yeast, sugar, salt, olive oil and water to a large bowl; stir until combined
  2. Fold through flour until just combined, turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5–10 minutes or until a smooth ball forms
  3. Place dough ball into a lightly oiled bowl, cover with cling wrap. Set aside in a warm drought free place for 30 minutes or until dough has doubled in size. Turn dough out on a floured surface and knock back (punch) the dough to remove excess air, lightly knead
  4. Divide dough as required.


Tips & Hints

  1. You can freeze pizza dough for 8 weeks, double wrapped in plastic wrap


Topping

Ingredients

  • 4 x 180g basic pizza dough (as above)
  • 24 medium green king prawns, peeled, deveined and halved lengthways
  • 2 teaspoons lemon rind
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons white wine
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2/3 cup tomato passata
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped oregano
  • 4 roma tomato, diced
  • 40 salted capers, rinsed


Method

  1. Combine prawns with lemon rind, juice, wine, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Leave to marinade
  2. Combine passata with oregano, salt and pepper
  3. Turn FUNCTION dial to PIZZA setting. Turn TIME dial to 15 minutes. Turn TEMPERATURE dial to 210°C CONVECTION. Press the START button
  4. Divide dough into four 180g balls. Roll out one piece of pizza dough to form a 24cm disc and place onto pizza tray. Prick base with a fork or pizza docker
  5. Spread base with 2 tablespoons passata
  6. Divide toppings evenly into four. Top pizza base with a quarter of the prawns, tomatoes and capers
  7. When preheating has completed, place pizza into the oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, slice and serve immedately
  8. Repeat with remaining pizza dough, passata and toppings


To Serve

Ingredients

  • Parsley leaves
  • Lemon rind


Method

  1. Garnish with extra parsley leaves and lemon rind
  2. Cut into wedges and serve immediately
