For a delicious Vietnamese-style pork roll with sausage, this recipe is the best. With onions, cabbage and apple slaw, this quick and easy dish is packed with a delicious blend of sweet and savoury flavour.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 small Savoy or green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 3 spring onions, finely sliced
  • 1 pink lady apple, cut into julienne strips
  • 1/2 cup ZOOSH So Fabulous Kickin Coleslaw It's Creamy & Tangy
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 6 thick pork sausages
  • 6 long white Vietnamese rolls or hot dog rolls, split

Method

  1. COMBINE the cabbage, spring onions and apple in a large bowl. Toss the dressing through the coleslaw to combine. Chill for 1 hour. Toss through coriander leaves
  2. BBQ or grill the sausages over medium-low heat, turning occasionally until cooked through. Cool slightly. Grill the buns cut-side down until toasted
  3. SERVE sausages in bread topped with coleslaw. Serve immediately

Tips & Hints

  1. Use a mandolin or food processor attachment to finely shred cabbage if desired. Vietnamese bread rolls can be found in Asian or Vietnamese bakeries. They are lighter than a traditional bread roll with a crispy crust. Substitute hot dog rolls if unavailable.
