Ingredients
2 ripe but firm avocados
40g macadamia nuts
2 Packham's Triumph pears
1 or 2 lemons
Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
Coarsely grind the macadamia nuts, either in a blender, or on a chopping board with a good knife
Peel the avocados and chop in cubes. Immediately brush with lemon juice. Peel pears and chop in cubes of the same size
Gently mix the avocado and pear cubes with the ground macadamia nuts. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper. Serve immediately
Tips & Hints
Choose avocados and pears that are firm and not too ripe or this delicious salad may turn into a less appetising gruel
