Try this spicy hummus recipe made with chickpeas & The Good Night Natural Peanut Butter. Serve with fresh veggies & Turkish bread for a delicious light lunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons coriander
  • 440g can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup The Good Nut Natural Peanut Butter Smooth or Crunchy
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/4 - 1/3 cup water
  • Turkish bread or pita bread, toasted, for serving
  • Fresh vegetables, cut into strips, for serving


Method

  1. HEAT the oil in a small saucepan and gently saute the garlic and spices over a low heat for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. Add the chickpeas and cook a further minute then transfer to a food processor with the peanut butter, chilli sauce and water then process until smooth
  2. SPOON the hummus into a serving bowl and chill until required. Place onto a serving platter and serve with bread and vegetables for dipping. Serve immediately

  1. Makes approximately 2 cups.
