Make a traditional margarita pizza recipe with pesto. Serve this easy homemade margarita pizza recipe with ricotta and pesto as a great party recipe idea.

Ingredients

  • 50g basil pesto
  • 100g Perfect Italiano Ricotta
  • 1 large (30cm) pizza base
  • 3 tbsp tomato passata or paste
  • 1 sprig flat leaf parsley, chopped
  • 250g Perfect Italiano Perfect Pizza
  • 1 vine ripened tomato, sliced
  • 1 sprig fresh basil leaves


Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 250°C
  2. Mix Pesto and Perfect Italiano Ricotta in a small bowl
  3. Spread pizza base with 2 tbsp tomato passata sauce, chopped parsley and Perfect Italiano Perfect Pizza. Then top with sliced tomatoes and remaining 1 tbsp of passata sauce
  4. Cook pizza in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and base is crispy
  5. Finish pizza with dollops of pesto Ricotta mix, freshly torn basil leaves and a sprinkle of salt and pepper


Tips & Hints

  1. Replace basil pesto with sun dried tomato pesto or caramelised onion.
