Make an easy folded beef pita pizza recipe with store bought pita bread. This ricotta pita idea is a really simple weeknight dinner in under 15 minutes. You can also pack these pita pizzas as a lunchbox idea.
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
400g beef mince
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp paprika
Western Star Butter, for brushing
4 pita breads
200g Perfect Italiano Smooth & Creamy Ricotta
100g baby spinach leaves
1 tomato, diced
200g Perfect Italiano Perfect Pizza cheese
Method
In a hot frying pan add oil, beef mince, onion, garlic and paprika. Brown the meat quickly then remove from pan and set aside
Brush pita with butter and place down in a frying pan over a medium heat, constantly flip pita for 1 min. Then spread ricotta over half of the pita followed by spinach, mince, tomato and Perfect Italiano Perfect Pizza cheese
Fold the pita in half and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes or until bread is crispy and golden, then flip and repeat for 1-2 minutes
