Hoisin & Garlic Chicken made with Passage to Asia Simmer Sauce is a sweet and tangy family dinner ready in minutes. Perfect for stir-fries or baking, and also a great marinade for beef skewers or chicken wings on the barbecue – easy, versatile and full of flavour.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 600g chicken breast fillets, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Asian green vegetables such as Bok choy or Chinese broccoli (chopped)
  • 1 small carrot, sliced on the diagonal
  • 60g snow peas, sliced in half lengthways
  • 200g sachet Passage to Asia Hoisin & Garlic Stir-Fry Sauce
  • Garnish with slice red onion and sprouts


Method

  1. Heat oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat
  2. Add chicken in 2 batches, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until browned but not cooked through.
  3. Return chicken, add vegetables and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in hoisin and garlic sauce and stir to mix through. Reduce heat to medium and cook a further 2-3 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
  5. Garnish with sliced red onion and herbs and serve with steamed long grain rice or noodles.
