This delicious chocolate and hip chip brownie recipe is the perfect baked good to enjoy as a delicious snack or take to a party or gathering. With a hint of saltiness these brownies will go down a treat.
Ingredients
140g butter
200g dark chocolate
200g brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
85g plain flour
2 cups Cobs Salt of the Sea Hip Chips, crushed
Sifted cocoa powder to serve
Method
Pre-heat oven to 160°C. Grease and line the base of an 18cm square cake pan
Melt butter and chocolate together in a double boiler, then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly
Beat the sugar, vanilla and salt into the mixture
Whisk eggs one at a time into chocolate mixture. Beat well
Add flour, beating until smooth
Fold crushed Cobs Hip Chips through mixture
Pour mixture into prepared pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 40 minutes or until a skewer comes out with a few moist crumbs attached (not a sticky batter)
