Made with ready-made waffles these simply cooked pears are delicious served with salted caramel ice cream.
Ingredients
25g butter
2 tablespoon brown sugar
6 small pears, peeled, halved
1 tablespoon pure cream
6 thick waffles
Salted caramel ice cream, to serve
Method
Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat. When sizzling add the brown sugar and stir until sugar has melted. Add pears, cut side down and cook for 3 minutes. Turn and cook for 3 minutes or until pears are caramelised and softened. Remove from heat and cool
Toast waffles and place onto serving plates. Top with a small scoop of ice cream. Place pear and sauce over ice cream and serve immediately
