With its deliciously sweet and very versatile flavour, this classic Japanese sauce can be used in a stir-fry or as a basting sauce for grilled meat and seafood. 'Teri' means 'lustre' in Japanese, which describes the sauce's shiny gloss.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon oil
600g sliced chicken thighs
1 packet Passage to Asia Teriyaki Chicken Stir-fry Sauce
2 cups of steamed rice
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions
Method
Heat one tablespoon of oil in a wok
Add sliced chicken in two batches and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes each until just cooked
Pour stir-fry sauce into wok and toss through
Reduce heat to low & stir for 2-3 minutes, or until meat is fully cooked
Serve immediately on a bed of steamed rice
Garnish with sesame seeds and shredded green onions
