BBQ Balinese Chicken Roti is a flavour-packed handheld meal. Satay-spiced chicken thighs are grilled on the BBQ, layered onto crispy roti with fresh slaw, herbs and creamy sauce for a Bali-inspired bite.

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken thigh, cut into strips
  • Street BBQ Balinese seasoning
  • 4 roti wraps (Malaysian-style frozen roti recommended)
  • Satay or peanut sauce
  • Slaw mix (cabbage, carrot, herbs)
  • Fresh coriander
  • Fresh chilli (optional)
  • Sour cream (optional)
  • Sweet chilli sauce
  • Kewpie mayonnaise (optional)

Method

  1. Oil & season chicken thighs generously with Street BBQ Balinese. Let it soak for 5–10 mins.
  2. Skewer and grill chicken until golden, charred, and juicy.
  3. Pan-fry your roti until flaky and crisp (frozen Malaysian roti is perfect here).
  4. Spread satay sauce on the roti and level it up with extra Street BBQ Balinese rub.
  5. Build your way with fresh slaw, grilled chicken, coriander, and chilli.
  6. Add a dollop of sour cream or Kewpie mayo and a splash of sweet chilli sauce. Trust us – it’s unexpected magic.
  7. Wrap, fold or roll… and bite into Bali.
