Brazilian Jalapeño Poppers are a smoky BBQ favourite that aren’t explosively hot. Creamy cheese filling mellows the heat, while Brazilian BBQ seasoning adds bold flavour to every bite.

Ingredients

  • 6 large fresh jalapeños, halved & deseeded
  • 100g cream cheese or mascarpone
  • ½ cup grated cheese (cheddar or tasty)
  • 2 tsp Street BBQ Brazilian seasoning
  • 12 strips streaky bacon

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, grated cheese and Street BBQ Brazilian seasoning.
  2. Slice jalapeños lengthwise and remove seeds.
  3. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  4. Grill or bake at 200°C for 15–20 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the jalapeños are tender.
  5. Serve straight off the grill — cheesy, spicy, smoky, and full of Brazilian BBQ flair
