Brazilian Jalapeño Poppers are a smoky BBQ favourite that aren’t explosively hot. Creamy cheese filling mellows the heat, while Brazilian BBQ seasoning adds bold flavour to every bite.
Ingredients
6 large fresh jalapeños, halved & deseeded
100g cream cheese or mascarpone
½ cup grated cheese (cheddar or tasty)
2 tsp Street BBQ Brazilian seasoning
12 strips streaky bacon
Method
In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, grated cheese and Street BBQ Brazilian seasoning.
Slice jalapeños lengthwise and remove seeds.
Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
Grill or bake at 200°C for 15–20 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the jalapeños are tender.
Serve straight off the grill — cheesy, spicy, smoky, and full of Brazilian BBQ flair
