BBQ Greek Lamb Pita Souvlaki is a flavour-packed BBQ meal. Greek-spiced lamb leg steaks are grilled until juicy, sliced thinly and loaded into warm pita with babaganoush, greens and pickled chillies.
Ingredients
4 lamb leg steaks
Street BBQ Greek seasoning
Olive oil
4 pita pockets
1 cup Babaganoush
Handful of baby spinach
Pickled chillies (or your favourite pickles)
Method
Drizzle & Season your lamb leg steaks with olive oil and a generous sprinkle of Street BBQ Greek Yiros Style seasoning
Grill the lamb steaks on medium on the BBQ or cast iron grill, until medium (approx. 5-7 min on each side) Allow to rest, then slice thinly.
Warm up pita pockets on the grill until soft and just a little crisp. Fill ‘em up with a spoonful of babaganoush, a handful of baby spinach, and a few pickled chillies.
Load in that lamb, tuck everything in, and get ready to bite into a Greek-inspired BBQ moment.
