Sticky Chinese Pork Bao are soft, savoury and full of flavour. Chinese-spiced pork belly is grilled until golden and sticky, then loaded into fluffy steamed bao with hoisin, crunch and chilli.

Ingredients

  • 400g pork belly, thinly sliced
  • Street BBQ Chinese seasoning
  • 8 plain bao buns (frozen or fresh)
  • Hoisin sauce
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • Crispy chilli oil or mayo (optional)


Method

  1. Lightly oil your pork belly slices and season generously with Street BBQ Chinese. Allow to rest to soak up the flavour.
  2. Steam your bao buns for 10 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Grill or pan-fry pork belly slices until golden and sticky.
  4. Spread hoisin sauce inside each steamed bun, then grilled pork pice. Top with cucumber, spring onion, and crispy chilli or mayo
