A simple flavour-loaded Caesar salad featuring perfectly cooked air fryer chicken leg. Using Street BBQ Italian gives the meat beautiful seasoning and crisp skin - an easy method you’ll use again and again.
Ingredients
1 Chicken Leg
Street BBQ Italian seasoning
1 little cos lettuce, washed and chopped
Caesar dressing (good quality or homemade)
Shaved parmesan
Flat-leaf parsley, torn
Garlic croutons (homemade or store-bought)
Optional toppings: anchovies, crispy bacon
Method
Season the chicken leg generously with Street BBQ Italian, coating all sides.
Place in the air fryer skin-side down. Cook at 180°C for 10 minutes.
Flip to skin-side up and cook for another 12 minutes, until golden and crispy. Remove and rest briefly before slicing.
In a bowl, add chopped little cos lettuce and toss with a generous amount of Caesar dressing.
Add shaved parmesan and torn flat-leaf parsley. Mix through garlic croutons.
Add optional anchovies and crispy bacon if you like.
Place the salad into a serving bowl. Slice the cooked chicken leg and lay it over the top.
Finish with extra parmesan and a sprinkle of Street BBQ Italian if desired.
