Pomegranate Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 x Street Kitchen, Pomegranate Chicken Kit, including: Persian Pomegranate Sauce and Persian Pomegranate Seasoning
- 600g diced chicken thighs
- 1 onion, sliced
- 80g fresh pomegranate
- 80g crushed walnuts
Method
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add sliced onions and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
- Add diced chicken and sauté for 3–4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Add Persian Pomegranate Sauce and cook on low heat for 30 minutes or until meat is fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with crushed walnuts and fresh pomegranate.
Spiced Rice
Ingredients
- 300g basmati rice
- 1.5L water
- Salt, to taste
- 6g sliced almonds, for garnishing
Method
- Rinse the Basmati rice until the water runs clear.
- In a saucepan, soak the rice for 10 minutes, then bring to the boil and add salt to taste.
- Once the rice is cooked, remove excess water, add the Persian Pomegranate Seasoning from the kit and mix well.
- Steam the rice for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with sliced almonds and serve with the Pomegranate Chicken.
Tips & Hints
- Serve with extra fresh pomegranate for added sweetness and texture.
- Also delicious topped with fresh herbs such as parsley or coriander.
