Ingredients
- 1 x Street Kitchen, Lebanese Shawarma Kit, including: Shawarma Sauce and Shawarma Spice Rub
- 800g diced chicken or lamb strips
- 2 tbsp oil
- ¼ cup water
- Lebanese style flat breads
- To serve (optional): Feta, lemon juice, yoghurt, lettuce, sliced red onion
Method
- Add the provided Shawarma Spice Rub sachet onto the diced chicken or lamb strips.
- Sear diced chicken or lamb strips in a pan with 2 tbsp of oil and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
- Add Shawarma Sauce along with water, reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes or until meat is fully cooked.
- Serve hot in warmed Lebanese flat bread.
- Top with lettuce, feta and red onion, then add yoghurt and a drizzle of lemon juice.
Tips & Hints
- Also delicious served with chicken or lamb.
- Warm flat breads before serving for best texture and flavour.
