Enjoy the taste of American BBQ at home with these Carolina style baby back ribs. It's so easy to make Carolina pork ribs in your oven thanks to the tangy mustard rub and Carolina sauce by Street Kitchen.
Ingredients
1kg rack of baby back ribs
1 x 200g pack Street Kitchen Tangy Mustard Carolina Style BBQ seasoning and sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
Steamed green beans to serve
Method
Sprinkle and rub the Carolina Style BBQ seasoning sachet evenly all over the ribs, including the ends. Leave ribs to stand for 30 minutes while preheating the oven
Preheat oven 160°C
Arrange a metal wire rack inside a large baking tray and place ribs on top in a single layer. Add ¾ cup water to roasting dish. Cover with foil and cook 1½ - 2 hours or until the ribs are tender. Remove from oven and increase temperature to 180°C
Remove foil and brush with a half of the finishing sauce and drizzle over oil. Return ribs to oven uncovered and cook a further 15 - 20 minutes, or until ribs are glossy and sticky
Rest for 15 minutes. Use a sharp knife to cut between the bones. Serve drizzled with extra sauce and steamed green beans
Tips & Hints
Use apple juice or beer in base of baking dish to add extra flavour.
Pork rib thicknesses and oven will vary greatly. Use cooking times as a guide only.
