Easter cookies to make with the kids

These recipes are a great way to get your kids involved in the kitchen and create some delicious Easter treats.
 
 
Choc-Chip Hot Cross Cookies
 
These classic cookies get an Easter makeover with a melted white chocolate cross on top.

Ingredients:
 
  • 150g Western Star Chef’s Choice unsalted butter, melted
  • 200g brown sugar
  • 70g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla paste
  • 280g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 100g white chocolate chips, melted
 
 
 
Vanilla Easter Biscuits
 
These simple and delicious cookies are perfect for the kids to help make.
 
You’ll need:
 
  • 125g Western Star Chef’s Choice butter, room temperature
  • 125g cup caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 250g cups plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
 
 
 
 
Additional tips:
 
  • There’s no limit to the decorating possibilities. Try crushed Easter eggs, edible glitter, or freeze-dried berries.
  • Try experimenting with different shaped cutters such as stars, hearts or Easter carrots.
  • For a different look and flavour, try swapping out the coloured white chocolate for milk or dark chocolate.
