The Ultimate Curried Sausages

Ingredients:

The Ultimate Curried Sausages

8 thick beef sausages
2 tablespoons oil
2 large onions, thickly sliced
2 teaspoons cumin
2 teaspoons coriander
1 1/2 teaspoons turmeric
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1-2 red chillies, thinly sliced
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon VEGEMITE
250ml PHILADELPHIA Light Cream For Cooking, cream alternative
150g green beans, trimmed and steamed until just tender
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 cup coriander leaves
Steamed rice, for serving

Method:

The Ultimate Curried Sausages

PLACE the sausages in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the sausages are cooked. Drain and cool
REMOVE and discard the skins from the sausages and cut into 1cm diagonal slices
HEAT the oil in a saucepan and saute the onion for 4-5 minutes or until softened. Add the spices, garlic and chilli and cook gently for a further 1-2 minutes until fragrant
STIR in the water, coconut milk, VEGEMITE and sausages, cover and simmer for 20 minutes
STIR through the PHILLY, beans and sugar and cook a further 2-3 minutes until well heated then toss through half the coriander
SPOON over the rice and garnish with remaining coriander leaves. Serve immediately

Wow I have made quick and boring curried sausages before but this took some time yes but wow very nice . I will make it again to share with friends in the future. This is certainly not a boring curried sausage meal. Thanks.

This is absolutely delicious. Beautiful flavour. If like your curry a little thicker then possibly just reduce the amount of water. . . . . . will definitely be having this one again :)

I haven't tried your version but I know that my curried sausage is a great favourite with family and friends alike.
