Cinnamon Scrolls

Method:
Cinnamon sugar
- In a large bowl, mix cinnamon sugar, brown sugar and butter together
Scrolls
- For best results, use the Searing Slow Cooker by Breville
- Line the aluminium cooking bowl with baking paper. Use the MENU button to select HIGH. Select POWER/START to commence pre-heating the slow cooker.
- Put flour and the salt into a bowl, rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs
- Slowly add the milk and mix with a flat bladed knife until it comes together to form a soft dough (You can do this in a food processor if you have one)
- Roll out the dough to a 20 x 30cm rectangle
- Top with the cinnamon sugar filling
- Roll the dough up to enclose the filling into one big roll. Cut the roll into slices and place on the baking paper in the cooking bowl
- Use the MENU button to select HIGH SLOW COOK. Adjust the timer to 90 minutes and press POWER/START to start cooking or until the scrolls are cooked
Icing
- Mix icing sugar and milk and a medium sized bowl
- Pour over icing over warm scrolls or alternatively pipe over cooled scrolls
Tips & Hints:
- To make savoury cheesy mite scrolls. Replace cinnamon sugar and icing ingredients with 2 tbsp Vegemite and 1/2 cup grated cheese
