Celebrating World Egg Day 2025 with Australian Eggs

At myfoodbook, we love nothing more than helping Australians cook, share and enjoy great food. That’s why we’re proud to have partnered with Australian Eggs for many years, and we’re excited to shine a light on a campaign that’s close to our hearts this World Egg Day.

On Friday 10 October 2025, Australian Eggs is inviting everyone to see just how powerful something as small as an egg can be. This year’s theme is all about using the humble egg to nourish, care and give back - from cooking for your family, to helping those in your community who might be doing it tough.

Eggs with impact — supporting Two Good Co

To make a real difference, Australian Eggs has teamed up with Two Good Co, a social enterprise that uses food to support and empower women experiencing crisis, homelessness or domestic violence.

Through this partnership, a year’s worth of eggs has been donated to help Two Good Co cook and serve more than 30,000 nutritious meals for women rebuilding their lives. It’s a powerful reminder that an everyday ingredient can be part of meaningful change.

Cooking inspiration from two of Australia’s favourite chefs
To celebrate World Egg Day, Australian Eggs has also partnered with two incredible local talents to share fresh ways to cook with eggs at home:

  • Alice Zaslavsky — an energetic and inspiring food educator, Melbourne Food & Wine Hall of Fame inductee, cookbook author and host of ABC’s A Bite to Eat with Alice.
  • Khanh Ong — beloved chef, TV personality and author, known for his time on MasterChef Australia and his vibrant food storytelling on social media.

Together they’re showing how eggs can bring joy and nourishment to your table — from quick weekday meals to dishes worth sharing with friends.
