This rich chocolate cake with chocolate ganache is a stunning dessert for a birthday, dinner party or other special occasion.

Rich Chocolate Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 150°C. Line 3 x 20cm cake tins with baking paper
  2. Cream Fairy, sugar and vanilla together until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition
  3. Add dry ingredients into creamed mixture a quarter at a time, alternating with the water
  4. Divide mixture between the prepared tins
  5. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until cooked
  1. Place the cream into a saucepan and heat through. (do not boil)
  2. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate, stir through until the chocolate has melted. Leave to cool. (The ganache will thicken while cooling)
  3. Assembly: Place one cake on a serving plate, spread with jam and one third of the whipped cream
  4. Repeat with the remaining cakes, jam and cream
  5. Spread over the chocolate ganache and top with sliced strawberries
