Method:
Braised Beef with Cauliflower Mash
- DUST beef with seasoned flour. Heat oil in a large heavy-based pan and brown meat on all sides, for 8-10 minutes, then place into slow cooker
- COOK onions in same pan over medium heat for 5-6 minutes, until golden, then transfer to slow cooker along with tomato sauce, golden syrup, vinegar and VEGEMITE
- COVER and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. Boil potatoes and cauliflower until tender. Drain and mash with PHILLY, then season to taste. Keep warm
- LIFT cooked beef from slow cooker, wrap in foil and rest in a warm place for 20 minutes. Add blended cornflour to the sauce and continue cooking on HIGH for 20 minutes to thicken sauce
- CARVE the beef & drizzle with the sauce. Serve with the cauliflower mash and sprouts
