This amazingly easy dinner dish is a great idea for busy weeknights. This cheesy peppercorn steak is so simple and absolutely delicious with a side of steamed greens.

Ingredients:

Method:
Easy Cheese Bechamel Sauce
  1. Place milk, dairy spread, flour and nutmeg (if using) into a cold saucepan all at the same time, then bring to the boil over medium heat whisking constantly until thick, smooth and glossy
  2. Stir in cheese until melted. Remove from heat, set aside and keep warm
Steak
  1. Rub both sides steaks with oil. Place half the pepper on a plate. Press steaks into pepper to lightly coat
  2. Preheat a barbecue grill or grill pan on medium-high heat. Barbecue steaks for 4 to 5 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Cover with foil and set aside for 5 minutes to rest
  3. Meanwhile, stir remaining cracked peppe into bechamel saucer. Serve over steaks with steamed greens
Tips & Hints:
  • For an easy mustard sauce, stir through 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard.
