Carbonara Pasta Bake
Ingredients:
Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 180°C fan-forced. Cook pasta in large saucepan of boiling water, until just tender. Drain. Return pasta to pan.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook garlic, bacon and mushrooms, stirring for 6-7 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Whisk eggs, cream and 2 cups of the combined cheeses in a large jug. Season with pepper.
  4. Add egg mixture and bacon mixture to pasta. Toss gently to combine. Transfer pasta mixture to a 1.5L (6-cup) capacity baking dish. Scatter with remaining combined cheeses. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.

I made this. Agree with Mary - its dry and bland. Carbonara does not lend itself to baking - best made the traditional way. No Good.

Terrible recipe, barely enough sauce for the pasta - had to add water to bulk it up. When I took it out the oven the egg had scrambled all the way around the edge.

Came out very dry and bland. Followed recipe exactly. Would not make again.
