Chocolate Crackle desserts made for adults

The classic chocolate crackles from your childhood have had a major makeover! If it's been a while since you last crunched into a chocolate crackle, these recipes might just change that. These variations of chocolate crackle have been overhauled to treat the big kids, with flavours like Marsala wine and Baileys Irish Cream making an appearance.

These recipes are super easy to make, and don't even require the oven on. Simply melt, stir and refrigerate and you'll have fantastic treats ready to share.

Irish Cream and Caramel Crackles

These Baileys-spiked caramel crackles are an indulgent treat. These little bites would be right at home at a bridal shower, hen's night, movie night or just a cheeky treat. With their satisfying crunch and the rich flavours of Irish cream and Jersey caramels, when you bring these to a party you're not likely to have any leftovers. Since there's alcohol in the recipe, these should only be served to those who are 18+. To turn them into a family friendly treat, you can simply leave out the Baileys to make Jersey caramel crackles.

They can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge (see how to store chocolate crackles here) making them a great party food.

Dark Cherry Chocolate Crackles

These Cherry Ripe flavoured crackles aren't strictly for adults, but the flavours of dark chocolate, cherry and coconut are definitely more adult-oriented. Those bitter chocolate notes and glistening glace cherries are just right for the grown-up palate.

Like the Irish Cream and Caramel Crackles, these treats are more at home at a dinner party or bridal shower than they are at a kids party, but if your kids are also big fans of Cherry Ripe this recipe could make a fun kids cooking project.
