Tips & Hints:
  • Potatoes that work well in this recipe include Desiree, Coliban and King Arthur, or choose a potato that states it is good for mashing.
Paneer Topping
  1. Combine grated paneer, panko crumbs and salt into a bowl. Drizzle over melted butter and mix well
  2. Remove foil and sprinkle paneer mixture evenly over the top. Bake for a further 30 minutes or until topping is golden and crisp and vegetables are cooked. Stand 10 minutes. Serve with steamed seasonal vegetables
Tips & Hints:
  • Check vegetables are almost cooked by pushing the tip of a knife into bake. If there is a little resistance the vegetables are just cooked

Must say was very sceptical as it didn't have white or cheese sauce. But OMG the flavours were amazing and the topping so good. Only difference is I used two cups of beef stock couldn't find that cheese so used cottage cheese mixed with grated cheese. Definitely going into my to keep recipes. Everyone loved it!

So delicious and simple to make, a twist on the traditional Rogan josh. My Indian partner loved this and said it tastes very traditional. Thank you
Should’ve pre cooked potatoes

Potatoes were still hard after over 90mins of cooking. I made sure the pieces weren’t to thick. Meat sauce turned out perfect but really should have been prepared the same as a moussaka. Disappointing.

This was very easy to make and it worked out perfectly. I was hoping to have some leftovers but my sons ate it all in one go. I will make it again next week.
