How to store leftover turkey in the fridge
- Let turkey cool
- Slice remaining turkey
- Place inside a sealable container and refrigerate
- Leftover turkey will be good for 3-4 days in the fridge.
How to freeze leftover turkey
- Let turkey cool
- Shred remaining turkey, this will allow it to freeze and defrost faster
- Divide into manageable serves for your family
- Wrap in foil then cling film and place inside a freezer bag or sealable container. Label and date. Freeze
- Turkey can be frozen for 2-3 months.
How to reheat turkey
If turkey is frozen, thaw in refrigerator overnight.
Preheat oven to 180°C. Arrange turkey in a large baking dish. Add 1/3-1/2 cup stock and a few knobs of butter. Cover dish and heat for 35-40 minutes. Check the temperature of the turkey is above 65°C before serving.
