How to cut an avocado
- Run a knife around the avocado lengthwise. Hold the two sides and twist, you’ll then have two halves, one of which has the seed.
- To remove the seed, spike it with the knife and twist. The seed should easily pop out.
- To separate the flesh from the skin, scrape a spoon along the skin’s inside edge to scoop it out.
- A handy tip is for peeling is to push a glass along the edge of the avocado skin so the flesh neatly falls into the glass.
- Slice the avocado halves and add a squeeze of lemon for flavour and to stop the fruit browning.
